Basic Purpose

Directs and leads the shipping and order pulling duties of the DC Warehouse. Monitors the movement and recording of the production into the DC Warehouse department. Monitors the training of new employees and assures all DC Warehouse employees are following proper GMP procedures.

Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high speed manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist personnel in pulling orders, loading and unloading trucks.

  • Assures employees are complying with all safety guidelines:
    Choking trailer tires before entering a trailer with a forklift, exercise proper safety, wearing proper and assigned PPE equipment. 25 Distribution/Trucking Manager
  • Insure all incoming product is inspected for proper labeling, contamination and infestation. 25 Distribution/Trucking Manager
  • Oversee employees loading trailers to ensure they are loaded properly and not exceeding the weight limits. 25 Distribution/Trucking Manager
  • Adding the proper location for incoming product and daily production. On-going Distribution/Trucking Manager
  • Inspect trailers for cleanliness and proper maintenance before loading. On-going Distribution/Trucking Manager
  • Implement/maintain best shipping process and layout of DC warehouse. On-going Distribution/Trucking Manager
  • Oversee employee productivity including promoting employee involvement to facilitate positive change. On-going Distribution/Trucking Manager
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse facility. On-going Distribution/Trucking Manager
  • Maintain GMP procedures while performing warehouse duties. On-going Distribution/Trucking Manager
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse facilities. On-going Distribution/Trucking Manager
  • Make sure trailer is secure at dock before loading by chocking tires. On-going Distribution/Trucking Manager
  • Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum four years' experience in warehouse distribution center role or related capacity

Supervisory Responsibilities

Indirect - DC Warehouse Material Handlers


  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Forklift Certification and ability to operate electric pallet jacks
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently, meet deadlines, multi-task with a positive, can do attitude
  • Good mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • Willingness to work overtime and some weekends.
  • Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to read, write and speak basic English
  • Follow all GMP and human safety rules and regulations.
  • Understanding of basic principles of the SQF program and other food safety policies/procedures
